I found encouragement this morning in these words about, of all things, words:
"Your words are sacred. I don’t take them lightly.
I see you sculpt your story into being with the abc’s of your life.
Your value transcends how many read, comment or like what you write.
Your words live beyond the reader.
Your words live because you spoke them into being.
Your words live....
[And] we are the living story He came to write."
~ Lisa-Jo Baker, "Why Your Words Matter"
Words shape and define who we are, not because they describe us to a "T" (or not), but because they have generative power, just as God designed them when He spoke the universe into existence.
For it is a well-known truth that the power of life and death are in the tongue. And in that sense, the words we speak, write, or perhaps never get to say carry a great and important responsibility.
What kind of words are you speaking lately? I encourage you to give them more than a passing thought. Life hangs in the balance. Choose life.
With gratitude for God's Living Word,

Yep! Love how He gives us the choice, but not without giving us the answer: LIFE!
