God's Glory, Aglow

"Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works
and GLORIFY your Father in heaven."

Larch Grove in the Last Light of a November Day

"How precious are My children
who remember to THANK Me at all times.
They can walk through the darkest days
with Joy in their hearts
because they know that the
Light of My Presence
is still shining on them."

~ From today's Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

    1. Greetings, Linda! I'm ever grateful to the Lord of Light, Who (along with all His wonders from the dawn of time) lit my way to Creekside, and to you.

May His "chain of Grace" shine around your table tomorrow, and continually glow in your heart and in those whose lives you daily touch...

  2. If it was not for our Lord whom we can trust in the darkest of days when we cannot find even just one ray of light to remain faithful and steadfast in His love and Presence in our lives, we would have had no hope or future!

    1. How very true, Mia. It's His faithfulness, His steadfastness, not our own, that gives us the hope of Joy on the darkest of days when we are nothing but husks.

Like those radiant larches, golden in glory as their dead needles fall gently to the ground... Christ picks them up, just as He collects our tears, giving hope and a future to those who otherwise have none. For even the Lord of Light knew brokenness.

Aglow, you are, dear friend. God bless you,

    1. Thank you, Joanne! There's no way we can shine, unless He's shining through us. :-)

Blessings to you this glorious day of Thanks-for-God's-Giving...

  5. Oh how I loved your photo! And how lovely is your scripture pairing with the words from Jesus Calling. These words lifted my spirits today. The road seems dark with my husband now gone for the next ten months but I know every day God gives me a reason to be thankful and to praise Him. He is good ALWAYS! Thank you for being a part of our TWW family. Many blessings.

    1. I'm delighted you found your visit uplifting, Beth.

I hear you, my friend, as you walk what seems like such a dark road. Believe it or not, this post came out of one of those dark days -- a deliberate, much-needed shift in focus to God's glory, of which I need daily reminding these days. You encourage me with this truth: that God's goodness endures forever, a definite reason for praise each and every moment!

Continued gratitude for your husband's service, and prayers for his and your protection, provision, and endurance through this trying time. God is shining on you, in you, and through you!

      With a big hug,
      HBHW
