Ephemeral, Eternal Moments

Whether footprints come or go, they are fleeting. They are cherished reminders of times spent that we wish could last forever. Glimpses of moments, both hoped for and savored, in the shared presence of ones we love.

They are tracks that press into the surface of snow-cold hearts, melting them with memories of joy and grace. Love-prints that dapple our souls with light and longing.

Because what is ephemeral in our lives has a way of teaching us about eternity:

The forever-gift which God has planted in our hearts. The gift that can never be taken away, unlike loved ones, footprints, memories...

Because God's promises stick.

"Behold, I have indelibly imprinted
(tattooed a picture of) you
on the palm of each of My hands..."

And He's not coming or going without us.

Amen.
